Air China’s longest routes exceed 6,000 miles in February schedule

Air China has announced its longest routes for February 2025, with all flights exceeding 6,000 miles. The carrier’s intercontinental network spans Europe, Oceania, and the Americas. According to Cirium data, Air China’s top ten longest routes include various aircraft types and destinations.

The Shanghai to Barcelona route is 6,142 miles long and operated by Airbus A350-900. “Air China has a passenger monopoly” on this corridor, offering 11 non-stop flights each way in February. The Airbus A350-900 features two seating configurations with a total of 312 seats.

From Beijing to Los Angeles, Air China operates the Boeing 777-300ER over a distance of 6,251 miles. This month includes 16 outbound flights and 24 return flights due to stops in Washington on some services. The Boeing 777-300ER offers two seating layouts: one with first class and another without.

The Beijing to Auckland route covers 6,462 miles with daily flights using the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Air China favors a three-class layout on these aircraft.

Shenzhen’s connection to Johannesburg spans 6,635 miles using the Airbus A350-900. Air China offers three round trips per week on this route.

Beijing to New York is served by the Boeing 747-8 over a distance of 6,838 miles with multiple weekly flights. The aircraft accommodates up to 365 passengers across four classes.

The Beijing-Washington route is operated non-stop eight times this month using the Boeing 777-300ER twinjet over a distance of 6,922 miles.

From Shenzhen to Los Angeles, Air China flies four times weekly on the Boeing 777-300ER over a distance of 7,248 miles.

A one-stop service from Beijing to Johannesburg via Shenzhen covers a total of 7,269 miles using the Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Beijing’s connection to Havana via Madrid measures at least 7,922 miles with twice-weekly service utilizing the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Finally, Air China’s longest route this month is from Beijing to São Paulo via Madrid at an impressive distance of 10,589 miles using the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for three rotations weekly.
