American Express has introduced a new Amex Offer that allows eligible cardholders to receive up to $120 back as a statement credit when booking hotels through Delta Stays, provided the booking exceeds $600. Delta Stays is Delta Air Lines’ hotel platform, powered by Expedia, which enables customers to book prepaid hotels or vacation rentals.

For those with cobranded Delta Air Lines American Express cards, this Amex Offer can be combined with an existing annual Delta Stays statement credit, potentially increasing savings for travelers. The annual statement credit varies depending on the card, ranging from $100 to $250 per calendar year. The entry-level Delta SkyMiles Blue American Express Card does not offer this benefit.

To take advantage of these offers, customers must book prepaid rates through the Delta Stays website using their eligible Delta credit card. Prepaid rates are often fully refundable, providing flexibility if travel plans change. However, bookings labeled “Reserve now, pay at hotel” do not qualify for the credit.

Six out of seven Delta cards offer the annual Delta Stays statement credit:

– Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express Card: Up to $100 per year
– Delta SkyMiles Platinum American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles Gold Business American Express Card: Up to $150 per year
– Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles Platinum Business American Express Card: Up to $200 per year
– Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card: Up to $250 per year

The Amex Offer is available only for hotel bookings and does not apply to vacation rentals booked through Delta Stays. Not all customers are targeted for this Amex Offer, so users are encouraged to check their Offers page.

A traveler shared their experience using the up-to-$200 statement credit with their Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card in both 2024 and 2025. For example, a stay at the Hyatt Regency Seattle that cost $328 was reduced to $128 after applying the statement credit.

The current Amex Offer expires December 31, 2025, but prepaid bookings made before then can be used for stays in subsequent years.

More information about these offers and related benefits can be found at The Points Guy’s guide to Delta SkyMiles.

“Since the offer is valid on prepaid stays, you could also use it for hotel stays next year, even after the Amex Offer expires Dec. 31, 2025.”
