Delta Air Lines has been recognized as the top airline by JUST Capital and CNBC in their annual JUST 100 ranking. The list evaluates companies based on several criteria, including fair wages, worker well-being, career advancement, transparency, community engagement, ethical leadership, and customer treatment. Delta was placed 67th globally among all companies.
“This honor from JUST 100 is, at its core, a recognition of the way Delta cares for our people,” stated Chief People Officer Allison Ausband. “We listen to our people and respond to their needs through tools like our annual engagement survey – and we look for new ways to care for them to support their physical, emotional and financial wellbeing.”
Delta stood out as the only airline on the list due to its investment in employees, customer service quality, and efforts to reduce environmental impact. This accolade coincides with Delta’s Centennial celebration of aviation achievements driven by its workforce.
The company leads in several areas highlighted by JUST 100:
– Delta will distribute $1.4 billion in profits among employees, equating to an average of five weeks’ pay for eligible staff.
– Delta employees receive the highest total compensation in the industry.
– An Emergency Savings Program offers financial wellness support through coaching and savings incentives.
– A Skills-First hiring approach prioritizes skills over formal education credentials.
– Employees engage in community service initiatives like aviation education accessibility and disaster response.
– Environmental efforts include decarbonizing operations and reducing fuel consumption.
Delta’s commitment extends beyond these recognitions as it supports communities where its employees live and work. The company has also received accolades from Fortune and J.D. Power for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
