Delta Air Lines is set to lead among passenger Boeing 757 services in April, according to Cirium Diio data. The airline will operate the shortest Boeing 757 flight within the US this month, covering the Atlanta to Birmingham route in 49 minutes. Despite this being the shortest by block time and distance, it is noteworthy that Delta plans only one such operation for this route during the period.

Ch-aviation reveals that with 113 Boeing 757s in its fleet, Delta remains the top global operator of this type of aircraft, specifically on shorter routes from its Atlanta hub. Comparatively, United Airlines holds a fleet of 61 Boeing 757s, making it the second-largest operator, though it does not feature on the list of shortest flights by time. However, United’s operations would appear if measured purely by distance.

Airlines operating flights within a block or scheduled time of no more than 1 hour and 23 minutes are highlighted. This accounts for taxi time, flight duration, and slight delays while attempting to maintain punctuality. Delta Air Lines dominates, with multiple flights from Atlanta offering varying block times, such as Atlanta to Savannah at 58 minutes and Atlanta to Jacksonville at 1 hour 5 minutes.

There are eleven Boeing 757 flights fitting this time bracket, with only Fly Khiva as the non-US participant. Operating between Tashkent and Samarkand, this Uzbek carrier utilizes Icelandair’s leased 757-300s for domestic and select international routes.

The absence of United Airlines in the list is noticeable, as none of its routes feature a block time concise enough. However, its Washington Dulles to Newark route ranks second by distance, despite a 1 hour and 29-minute block time due to hub congestion.

Internationally, Condor operated a flight between Frankfurt and London Stansted, connecting with a sporting event involving Frankfurt Eintracht and Tottenham. Despite covering a shorter distance of 335 nautical miles, it was excluded from the list due to a block time of 1 hour and 35 minutes.
