Delta Air Lines marked its Centennial year with a significant Global Volunteer Month campaign in April, highlighting the airline’s commitment to community service. Employees worldwide participated in over 100 volunteer events, reflecting Delta’s dedication to global communities.
The activities ranged from packing meals and mentoring youth to cleaning coastlines and donating blood. More than 4,400 Delta volunteers completed 155 community events, contributing over 8,600 hours of service across eight countries and four continents.
Alicia Tillman, Chief Marketing Officer at Delta Air Lines, emphasized the company’s focus on community well-being: “At Delta, we recognize that our success is deeply intertwined with the wellbeing of the communities we serve.” She added that Delta employees are integral to the airline’s unique approach to serving communities.
Delta also celebrated nearly 100 “Super Volunteers” who exceeded expectations in their volunteer efforts during 2024. The company serves 290 destinations on six continents and continues to emphasize compassion and commitment among its employees.
As part of its ongoing mission, Delta aims to support education, sustainability, equity, and wellness initiatives through volunteerism. This reflects a broader strategy of connecting cultures and economies while reinforcing common ground among people globally.
