Eurowings has announced a significant expansion of its services at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) for the summer 2026 schedule. The airline will introduce new routes to London, Lisbon, and Sarajevo, as well as Olbia, Naples, and Kavala. This move will increase the number of aircraft based in Berlin from seven to nine.
Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings, said: “The measures adopted by the German Government are helping us to stabilise our range of flights to European destinations and, in some cases, to expand it. This is particularly evident in Berlin. With our new connections, we are strengthening our presence in the capital. We are making a deliberate investment in BER because we see the region’s potential and want to offer people in Berlin and Brandenburg an even more diverse European network.”
Aletta von Massenbach, Chair of the Executive Board of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, commented: “We are delighted about the significant expansion of Eurowings’ services at BER. With two additional aircraft stationed here, Eurowings is strengthening its clear commitment to the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region. This step underlines the attractiveness of the location and our close strategic partnership with the airline.”
Burkhard Kieker, CEO of visitBerlin, added: “With these new destinations, Eurowings is sending a strong signal for improved connectivity in the capital. We particularly welcome the increased number of flights from European cities such as London, Lisbon and Bilbao.”
The expanded flight plan includes up to twelve weekly flights between Berlin and London Heathrow Airport and up to three weekly flights to Lisbon. There will also be two weekly flights each to Olbia (Sardinia), Naples, and Sarajevo; Kavala (Greece) will be served twice a week during peak season.
In addition to launching new routes, Eurowings will increase frequencies on several existing popular routes from BER. Mallorca will receive six more weekly flights; Stockholm five more; Zurich and Split two more each; while Bilbao, Faro, Gothenburg, Helsinki and Larnaca will all see one additional flight per week.
Overall, Eurowings’ summer 2026 schedule at BER will feature 43 direct destinations across 20 countries.
