Eurowings has announced the appointment of Irina Haselmann as Managing Director of its new tour operator, Eurowings Holidays GmbH. This move is part of the airline’s strategy to expand its presence in the tourism sector and enhance its leisure brand, Eurowings Holidays, which will begin operations as a separate entity on April 1, 2025.
Irina Haselmann has been with Eurowings since 2018 and has played a key role in the company’s commercial success through her work in digital marketing and sales. She became Head of Digital Marketing & Sales in 2021 and has contributed significantly to revenue growth via digital platforms and the development of Eurowings Holidays.
With over 15 years of experience in tourism, Haselmann brings valuable expertise from her previous roles at DER Touristik/Dertour travel group, where she handled product management, pricing, marketing, and sales for international tour operators.
“This extensive tourism and digital expertise makes Irina Haselmann the ideal person to drive our tourism growth,” stated Michael Erfert, Head of Sales at Eurowings. He emphasized her crucial role in shaping Eurowings Holidays’ success alongside her team. “With our own management, we are now taking the next step and strengthening our entrepreneurial responsibility for the growth of Eurowings Holidays.”
The new management team includes Sven Ickstadt as Chief Operations Officer. Ickstadt brings a wealth of experience from his long career in tourism management positions at LTUR and Binoli. Additionally, Sebastian Jüngst will serve as Head of IT; Carolin Stauss will lead Sales & Marketing; while Ilias Bratkos will oversee data-driven business decisions as Head of Data & BI.
Eurowings Holidays GmbH aims to offer customers customized vacation experiences starting April 1, 2025. To ensure immediate operational readiness, it has integrated staff and IT systems from Karlheinz Kögel’s media and tourism enterprise based in Baden-Baden.
