Eurowings reported strong results for 2025, operating approximately 170,000 flights and serving 23.7 million passengers over the year. About 72 percent of these flights arrived on time, and the airline achieved a reliability rate exceeding 99 percent. The company expanded its services to meet high demand for leisure travel, with more than 900,000 additional passengers compared to the previous year.

“We are delighted that we were able to offer our guests such an excellent performance,” said Eurowings CFO Kai Duve. “Overall, we welcomed over 900,000 additional guests on board compared to the previous year and flew them to 150 different destinations across Europe. The fact that around two-thirds of our customers actively recommend Eurowings is the result of a strong team effort with a clear focus on quality, reliability and customer orientation. It also reflects Eurowings’ expansion into the value airline for Europe.”

Passenger recommendations for Eurowings increased from 2024 levels, reflecting greater trust in the brand and recent customer-focused initiatives. Skytrax named Eurowings as “Best Low-Cost Airline in Europe 2025,” recognizing its service improvements and pricing strategy.

The airline launched its own tour operator division, Eurowings Holidays, which now offers trips to 60 countries and access to about 16,000 hotels. Customers can take advantage of low deposits as well as flexible rebooking and cancellation options.

In January 2025, Lufthansa Group allocated forty new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to Eurowings for delivery between 2027 and 2032. This marks the largest fleet modernization in company history and is expected to support future growth.

Including its stake in SunExpress, Eurowings posted an adjusted EBIT of €132 million in 2025. Its workforce grew to nearly 5,500 employees.

Eurowings operates from thirteen international bases—including one on Mallorca—and regularly updates its aircraft fleet for better passenger experiences (official website). As part of Europe’s largest airline group under Lufthansa Group (official website), it employs about 5,300 people and maintains a fleet of around one hundred aircraft (official website). The carrier focuses on affordable and flexible air travel options (official website) while flying to approximately one hundred fifty destinations from its network of international bases (official website). Passengers can choose among several fare types including BASIC, SMART or BIZclass (official website).
