Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has provided relief supplies to 200 families in San Remigio and nearby areas in Cebu following a recent earthquake. The 6.9-magnitude quake, which is among the strongest ever recorded in Cebu, displaced over 200,000 families and caused nearly PHP13 billion (about USD 257 million) in property and infrastructure damage.
In response, FedEx partnered with local organizations such as the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) and Junior Chamber International Zugbuana to deliver items like bottled water, food, sleeping mats, mosquito nets, and blankets to those affected.
“FedEx has a longstanding commitment to disaster relief, leveraging its global network and resources to provide support where it is most needed,” the company stated. For more information on how FedEx assists communities globally, visit FedEx Cares.
