Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has announced the expansion of its FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP) service to Indonesia. This service, aimed at facilitating international e-commerce deliveries with a one-day guarantee, is now available to online business owners in Indonesia. Previously accessible in Asia-Pacific markets such as China, Hong Kong SAR, and Japan, this expansion allows Indonesian businesses to offer reliable and cost-effective shipping solutions to major destinations in the United States and Europe.

The extension of FICP aligns with FedEx’s commitment to supporting cross-border e-commerce growth from Asia to the United States and Europe. E-commerce sales in Asia are projected to reach USD 13.209 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 17.6% from 2023 through 2030. In Indonesia, the e-commerce market remains promising with a Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) of USD 59 billion in 2022, expected to rise to USD 95 billion by 2025 and potentially reaching USD 220-360 billion by 2030. This development enables Indonesian e-commerce sellers to provide affordable international shipping solutions while ensuring most shipments arrive within two to three business days in the US and Europe.

Key benefits for online business owners using FICP include:

1. Greater value: Businesses can achieve lower rates while ensuring timely delivery by matching attractive offers that meet their shipping needs.

2. Flexibility and control: Besides home delivery, FCIP allows businesses to offer customers options for self-pickup at hundreds of locations or change delivery dates and locations.

3. Easy integration: Online and offline shipping automation solutions provide a paperless experience through document digitalization.

4. Peace of mind: Advanced FedEx tracking features give visibility throughout the shipping process for both business owners and customers.

Garrick Thompson, Managing Director FedEx Indonesia, stated: “FedEx isn’t just a logistics service provider; we are a trusted partner dedicated to empowering SMEs and local e-commerce businesses in Indonesia with comprehensive logistics solutions and advanced digital tools. We help local businesses reach new heights and enter global markets confidently.” He added that “the launch of FedEx International Connect Plus represents our commitment to better serve customers and accelerate cross-border e-commerce growth in this dynamic region.”

The FICP service comes with guaranteed delivery assurance supported by customs clearance reliability along with tracking features, recipient notifications, flexible delivery options via FedEx Delivery Manager International.
