Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has introduced a new campaign in South Africa aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The initiative includes a brand video titled “The Shipment,” which highlights the importance of reliable shipping for SMEs. This campaign seeks to address the challenges SMEs face when navigating numerous shipping options.

The digital advertisement, leveraging FedEx’s sponsorship of the Joburg Super Kings (JSK) cricket team, features cameo appearances by JSK cricket stars Faf du Plessis, Devon Conway, and Sibonelo Makhanya. The players humorously portray logistics providers with flawed methods, emphasizing that certain tasks are best left to experts. Under the theme “give your business the FedEx Factor,” the video underscores FedEx’s reliability in on-time deliveries through its global network.

Nitin Navneet Tatiwala, vice-president of Marketing, Customer Experience & Air Network (MEISA), stated: “FedEx plays a significant role in empowering SMEs. We are proud to be the partner of choice for entrepreneurs, giving them the ‘FedEx Factor’ to succeed. The video displays how small businesses can rely on our expertise, speed and extensive network to deliver their products locally and internationally.” He added that it signifies their partnership with JSK as Principal Sponsor and official Logistics Partner.

The campaign is distributed across digital platforms and includes a commentary ad inspired by cricket on Hot 102.7 FM. The video is available on YouTube and Instagram, encouraging viewers to engage with it by liking and sharing.
