Flying Food Group announced on LinkedIn that Olivia Stoll, a company colleague, participated in a panel discussion at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo focused on sustainability in international catering waste.

The panel, titled “Sustainability as an Operating Requirement: Rethinking International Catering Waste,” was led by Marián Brestovanský and included perspectives from Diana Cawley of the Aviation Sustainability Forum, Olivia Stoll of Flying Food Group, and Þórunn Björg Guðmundsdóttir of Icelandair. Flying Food Group said, “We could not be prouder! Our colleague Olivia Stoll took the stage at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo to participate in the panel ‘Sustainability as an Operating Requirement: Rethinking International Catering Waste.’ We are excited to be part of the journey toward a more sustainable future.”

According to the announcement, sustainability in aviation catering is now considered an operational requirement rather than an option. The industry reportedly has access to data, technology, and intent needed for progress; however, outdated regulations and infrastructure gaps remain significant challenges.

The event brought together stakeholders from across the value chain to discuss critical issues related to waste management and sustainable practices within aviation catering.
