IHG is expanding its presence in Peru with the rebranding of Iberostar Selection Miraflores as Souma Hotel Lima. This hotel will join IHG’s Vignette Collection, which features “one-of-a-kind hotels” that “each has its own story and outlook to share.”
Located in Lima, the capital of Peru, Souma Hotel Lima marks the Vignette Collection’s first venture into South America. Scheduled to reopen in March, the hotel is operated by Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, a partner of IHG, and is situated in the upscale neighborhood of Miraflores with views of the Pacific Ocean.
The hotel comprises 214 guest rooms designed with inspiration from Peru’s Pacaya Samiria Nature Reserve. The design includes natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows, soft hues, and a minimalist feel.
Dining at Souma Hotel Lima includes Ortega & Huaman offering Peruvian and Mediterranean fusion cuisine. The rooftop restaurant 27 Tapas serves Spanish and Peruvian dishes alongside live DJs and views of the city and ocean. Additionally, guests can enjoy a Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian) dining experience at Kimo.
Guests can also access rooftop views without dining. A heated infinity pool will be located on the roof along with “memorable rituals,” bespoke activities available at every Vignette Collection property. Guests can participate in complimentary experiences such as sunrise yoga or daily pisco cocktail tastings. Other amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, a spa, and four floors dedicated to meeting and event spaces.
Souma Hotel Lima emphasizes sustainability by aiming to become Lima’s first plastic-free hotel. It plans to collaborate with partners to reduce waste and environmental impact around Peru’s coastline.
Reservations for Souma Hotel Lima are now open for stays starting March 5, with rates beginning at $214 or 25,000 IHG One Rewards points per night.
