Anyone aspiring to become a flight attendant and can travel to Singapore next week should take note, as this opportunity could mark the beginning of a promising career with Emirates, one of the world's leading airlines. The Middle Eastern full-service carrier will be in Singapore on Tuesday for a recruitment drive aimed at hiring 5,000 new cabin crew members this year.

Emirates has announced its intention to increase its global cabin crew by 25%, primarily to have trained personnel ready for the induction of new Airbus A350s later this year and Boeing 777Xs scheduled for 2025. As part of this effort, Emirates is holding a recruitment event in Singapore on July 16 for candidates interested in joining its multinational team of flight attendants.

This year, Emirates' recruitment team is conducting open days and assessments in over 460 cities across six continents. This extensive effort underscores the airline's urgent need for additional cabin crew. Besides highlighting career opportunities with the airline, Emirates is also promoting the benefits of living and working in Dubai's dynamic and cosmopolitan environment.

Emirates’ diverse cabin crew already includes members from more than 140 nationalities who speak over 70 languages—a significant advantage when catering to the varied passenger demographics on Emirates flights. Currently, there are 75 Singaporeans among its cabin crew, and next week's event will provide an opportunity for more Singaporeans to join by registering online via the Emirates Group Career website.

The airline is seeking individuals passionate about delivering personalized hospitality while creating memorable experiences for customers. Recruits will undergo world-class training focused on safety and service excellence. Candidates are expected to confidently manage aircraft services, security, and safety procedures.

Last year, Emirates hired 8,000 cabin crew members through recruitment drives held in 353 cities. The airline currently employs 22,000 cabin crew members but needs approximately 5,000 more. New hires will undergo seven-and-a-half weeks of intensive training at Emirates' state-of-the-art facility in Dubai, acquiring skills such as leadership qualities and effective communication.

The training program also emphasizes teamwork within a multicultural environment, mental resilience under pressure, and maintaining high standards of hospitality and safety. Career progression opportunities include roles such as cabin supervisor, purser or trainer, along with other internal vacancies within the Emirates Group.
