Alaska Airlines has unveiled the latest destinations in its Global Getaway promotion, offering discounted award tickets through 2025. The promotion allows Mileage Plan members to book an additional destination for free in each direction for up to two weeks. Destinations include Athens, Rome, and Guadalajara.

The second batch of quarterly destinations includes locations across four continents. The promotion began in April with flights to Fiji, Bali, and Zanzibar. According to Alaska Airlines, Mileage Plan members booked nearly 1,000 flights using reduced miles in April.

The current promotion runs from July 10th through July 31st and allows members to redeem miles for reduced award travel between October 1st, 2024, and January 31st, 2025. All destinations are accessible via Alaska Airlines and its oneworld and non-alliance airline partners.

"Members can use their miles to fly on one of Alaska's airline partners to one of six destinations," the airline stated. The stopover policy enables travelers to book an additional destination free of charge for up to two weeks.

Among the new destinations is Muscat International Airport (MCT) in Oman. "Redemptions are available via Doha (DOH) with oneworld carrier Qatar Airways," noted Alaska Airlines. Oman Air is set to join the oneworld Alliance later this year.

Travelers can also explore Europe with flights to Athens International Airport (ATH) and Rome (FCO). These routes are primarily operated by British Airways and Aer Lingus, supplemented by Royal Jordanian and Qatar Airways services.

Flights from the US to Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) are available via Doha and London Heathrow (LHR). Award ticket prices range from 30,000 to 200,000 miles each way. Simple Flying found it possible to book premium cabins for fewer miles but with higher cash surcharges.

A transpacific link will be established with Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) through STARLUX Airlines starting next month. An application was submitted last month requesting access to each other's flight codes between any point in the US and Taiwan starting August 16th.

The final announced destination is Guadalajara (GDL) in western Mexico. In addition to newly-announced flights from Fresno, Alaska will serve GDL daily from Los Angeles (LAX) and San Jose (SJC).
