Emirates has painted one of its A380 aircraft to commemorate its sponsorship of the premier tennis event, Wimbledon. The special decal will remain on the A380 throughout The Championships, with scheduled services including London Heathrow, Manchester, Washington D.C., Paris, New York (JFK), Casablanca, Zurich, Brisbane, Barcelona, and Perth.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, stated: “Wimbledon is one of the most prestigious events on the global sports calendar and we’re thrilled to celebrate our first year as the Official Airline Partner. We have a unique opportunity to strengthen our enduring connection with tennis fans, including the many amongst our global customers. In our debut year of partnering with Wimbledon, our message to tennis fans will be big and bold. We look forward to showcasing some of the iconic Wimbledon experiences to our customers onboard and also to bringing our renowned Emirates brand experience to The Championships at The All England Tennis Club.”

During July, Emirates UK flights will feature a taste of the tennis championships. Emirates currently serves the UK with 133 weekly flights across seven gateways including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, and Glasgow. The airline will also return to Edinburgh with a daily A350 service starting from November 4th.

Airlineratings.com offers comprehensive information about air travel and answers questions that many travelers may have thought of but didn’t know who to ask. Developed by a team of aviation editors who have researched nearly every airline in the world, Airlineratings.com provides a one-stop shop for everything related to airlines.

The site features a rating system from one to seven stars on safety – with seven being the highest ranking. Each airline profile includes details such as country of origin, airline code, booking URL and seat map information. Safety ratings consider various factors related to audits from aviation’s governing bodies and lead associations as well as each airline’s own safety data.

Over 230 airlines carrying 99 percent of the world’s passengers have product ratings on Airlineratings.com. Different rating systems are used for low-cost carriers versus regional and full-service carriers.

Additionally, Airlineratings.com provides information on over 30 types of aircraft from models like Boeing 787s to A380s and smaller jets. The site answers common questions such as:

- “What are all those noises after takeoff and before landing?”

- “Why do you have to put the window shades up for landing and takeoff?”
