DoKaSch Temperature Solutions, a specialist in temperature-controlled active packaging solutions, has announced the appointment of Rory Ward as the new business development manager for the Midwest Region in the United States.

Ward brings over a decade of experience in the logistics industry, having most recently served as operations and sales manager at Airport Logistic Services Group. In his new role, Ward will focus on expanding DoKaSch TS's presence in the US market. The pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, particularly in the Midwest region, are experiencing significant growth. Illinois aims to enhance its reputation as a key hub for biomedical research, with Chicago leading this initiative due to its dense concentration of biotech and pharma firms. Contributing to this dynamic growth is Chicago O'Hare Airport, which handled approximately 2.2 million metric tons of cargo in 2022, making it a pivotal cargo hub in the United States.

"DoKaSch Temperature Solutions' Opticooler provides high-quality and reliable temperature-controlled packaging solutions," said Ward. "I see significant business opportunities in the Midwest Region and am excited to expand the DoKaSch TS network."

"Rory Ward, a Chicago native, has an in-depth understanding of the Midwest Region market. He is an excellent contact for customers seeking to transport their temperature-sensitive products with our Opticooler," stated Andreas Seitz, managing director of DoKaSch Temperature Solutions. "With Rory Ward as the new business development manager, DoKaSch Temperature Solutions is strengthening its global network and enhancing its engagement in the US pharma market."

Recognizing the importance of the US pharmaceutical market—which generated over $630 billion in sales in 2022 and stands as the largest globally—DoKaSch Temperature Solutions has strategically positioned itself within this region. Since 2018, the company has operated its subsidiary, DoKaSch Americas Inc., based in California. Both RKN and RAP versions of Opticooler are FAA-certified, enabling any US airline to have these containers technically certified and validated.
