According to Department of Transportation (DOT) data, American Airlines has been reported to lose more luggage than any other carrier. Despite this, the airline has not indicated plans to invest in improved technology for tracking bags.

Twitter user Jeff (@jyergs) highlighted this issue on July 1, 2024, stating: "According to DOT data, American Airlines loses more bags than any other carrier. Yet they’re not ready to invest in better technology to track bags."

Further complaints about American Airlines were voiced by PeggyO (@MikeGScarn), who tweeted: "Disaster @PHLAirport .. cancelled flights.. delays.. lost and unclaimed luggage. People have been waiting for over 12 hrs."

In a different context, Robert Slawsby (@SportsTvBubba) expressed dissatisfaction with Southwest Airlines regarding passenger behavior onboard: "Go ahead, pursue your deviant lifestyle within the confines of your own home, but no one should have to see this in public. #barefeetinplanes whose onboard with this? @SouthwestAir not cool!"

American Airlines recently announced that it will become the first airline to offer flights to all 50 U.S. states on May 20, 2025. Ishrion Aviation (@IshrionA) shared details on June 30, 2024: "NEW: American Airlines is set to become the only (and first-ever?) airline to offer flights to all 50 U.S. states—but just for one day."

Emirates has introduced an exclusive deal offering Dom Perignon onboard in first class and will add special editions through September and later in November and December.

Delta Air Lines is reconsidering its new uniform designs due to concerns that dresses could impede emergency evacuations.
