American Express has introduced a limited-time offer for the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card. New cardholders can earn 5 Free Night Awards, each valued at up to 50,000 points, after spending $8,000 within the first six months of card membership. This offer ends on July 10.

These awards can be used as the equivalent of 250,000 Marriott points, which are estimated to be worth approximately $1,500. Marriott allows users to top off free night awards with up to 15,000 additional points per night for desired hotel redemptions.

Similar offers have been seen on Chase-issued consumer cards but have rarely appeared on this particular card. The current offer is an improvement over previous promotions that provided three free nights instead of five.

The business card also offers 15 elite qualifying nights annually, which can be combined with elite nights earned from a consumer card. Additionally, American Express small business cards generally do not count towards the 5/24 rule.

While it may not be ideal for ongoing spending due to its earning structure—6x points at Marriott hotels; 4x points at restaurants worldwide, U.S. gas stations, wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. providers and U.S. shipping purchases; and 2x points on other eligible purchases—the card remains valuable for its annual benefits. These include annual elite nights and one Free Night Award every year after the renewal month.

Cardholders can earn an additional Free Night Award by spending $60,000 in a calendar year. These free nights are valid for redemptions up to 35,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night.

The card also provides eligibility for a potential 7% discount rate on certain direct bookings, although this rate may not always be the best available option.

The annual fee for the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card is $125.
