Seattle, WA and Taipei, Taiwan – March 28, 2024 – Taiwan-based luxury carrier STARLUX Airlines announced today that it will expand its U.S. presence with the launch of nonstop flights from Seattle to Taipei starting August 16. Reservations are now open for booking. This new route marks the airline’s third U.S. gateway after Los Angeles and San Francisco, offering U.S. travelers direct flights to Taipei and seamless connectivity to 21 Asian destinations.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is also the hub of STARLUX’s partner Alaska Airlines, enabling travelers bound for Asia to easily transfer upon arrival at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The new Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) route will depart thrice weekly.

The Seattle–Taipei flights will operate on STARLUX’s next-generation Airbus A350 aircraft featuring four cabins: First (4 seats), business class (26 seats), premium economy (36 seats), and economy (240 seats). Passengers can expect a premium onboard experience in every cabin class from earth-toned interiors to award-winning crew attire, curated in-cabin aromatherapy, and Michelin-rated meals.

Guests on the new route will enjoy luxury service including private spaces with sliding doors in first class and business class seats with full-flat capabilities for relaxation. Premium economy offers extra-legroom RECARO seats with leg rests while economy features comfortable seating with leather headrests.

All guests have access to seatback entertainment featuring 4K personal large screens. The new flights provide exquisite dining options including Taiwanese signature dishes available for pre-order online.
