LATAM Pass members can earn miles by booking accommodation through Booking.com, receiving three miles per dollar spent. Additionally, two LATAM credit cards offer up to four miles per dollar spent, plus welcome bonuses. LATAM's loyalty program, known as LATAM Pass, primarily allows members to earn miles by flying with LATAM Airline Group or its partner airlines. However, there are several ways for members to accumulate miles without flying.

One method is through hotel bookings with Booking.com. The online travel agency offers around 3.4 million properties worldwide, including over 475,000 hotels and 2.9 million homes and apartments. LATAM Pass members can earn three miles for every dollar spent on stays booked through the platform. To benefit from this offer, members need to provide their membership details during or after booking. Miles are awarded at least 64 days after the end of the stay.

Another way to earn miles is through LATAM's credit cards: the LATAM Airlines Mastercard and the LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard. Depending on the purchase category and card used, members can earn up to four miles per dollar spent.

The earning rates for the LATAM Airlines Mastercard are:

- LATAM purchases: 3 miles

- Restaurants: 2 miles

- Rideshares, taxis, and public transport: 2 miles

- Everything else: 1 mile

The earning rates for the LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard are:

- LATAM purchases: 4 miles

- Restaurants: 3 miles

- Rideshares, taxis, and public transport: 3 miles

- Everything else: 1 mile

Both credit cards also offer welcome bonuses for new sign-ups—15,000 miles for the LATAM Airlines Mastercard and 40,000 miles for the World Elite version.

When it comes to flying, earning LATAM Pass Miles is most lucrative with flights operated by LATAM or its partner airlines. Despite no longer being a member of the oneworld Alliance since 2020, LATAM still collaborates with various carriers globally to allow members to earn points and enjoy selected benefits when traveling with them.

Partner airlines include Aeromexico, Alaska Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Delta Air Lines (which owns a stake in LATAM), Iberia, Qantas (offering elite benefits), Qatar Airways (another stakeholder), and Virgin Atlantic (set to launch services between London Heathrow and São Paulo in March 2025).

LATAM Airlines Group is South America's largest airline group incorporating major carriers like LATAM Chile and LATAM Brasil along with several subsidiaries across the continent. In 2023, it carried a total of 74 million passengers.

Despite financial difficulties exacerbated by the pandemic in early years before recovering as lockdowns lifted and travel resumed. Data shows that collectively; they have more than 300 aircraft within their fleet including Airbus A319s/A320s/A321s & Boeing models such as B767/B777/B787 series.
