American Airlines has introduced the AAdvantage Business loyalty program, targeting corporate travelers. The program allows businesses to earn one mile for every dollar spent on corporate travel with American Airlines. These miles can be redeemed for various travel expenses, including flights, upgrades, and car rentals.

The sign-up process is straightforward: companies register online, add at least five active travelers, book travel, and start earning points immediately. The program offers flexibility by allowing miles to be used not only on American Airlines but also on oneworld and partner airlines.

Based in Dallas, American Airlines aims to attract more corporate travelers through this frequent flier program. AAdvantage Business is designed to reward eligible companies and their employees with extra miles and loyalty points for booking directly with the carrier. It positions American Airlines as the only US carrier offering a business loyalty program that enables faster status earning.

For every dollar spent on corporate travel, businesses earn one AAdvantage mile that can be used to book employee itineraries. This includes car rentals, air travel, lounge access, and more. Additionally, individual travelers earn one loyalty point per dollar spent within their AAdvantage membership status.

The program is free to join and caters to businesses of all sizes. Companies need only reach a minimum spend of $5,000 on American Airlines flights annually to remain eligible unless they hold a Citi / AAdvantage credit card.

American Airlines provides an online portal for easy travel management, offering tools to simplify booking processes. Companies can accrue more miles by using the Citi / AAdvantage Business World Elite Mastercard, which currently offers up to 65,000 bonus miles upon signing up.

To participate in the program:

1. Register at www.aadvantagebusiness.aa.com.

2. Assign at least five active travelers.

3. Book travel via aa.com or through preferred channels.

4. Start earning loyalty points instantly.

5. Manage accounts through the company’s travel management portal.

6. Redeem miles for various travel-related expenses.

7. Earn additional points using the Citi / AAdvantage Business Mastercard.

The initiative aims to encourage direct bookings with American Airlines while promoting brand loyalty among business travelers.

Businesses can review potential earning rates:

- Five miles per dollar spent on eligible flights under the standard AAdvantage program.

- One mile per dollar spent under the AAdvantage Business program.

- Two miles per dollar spent using the Citi / AAdvantage Business Mastercard.

Miles can be redeemed beyond AA-operated flights for options like cabin upgrades and car rentals across over 500 global destinations and 400,000 hotels via the AAdvantage Hotels platform.
