British Airways is offering double Avios to US flyers this summer until mid-August. The bonus can be combined with other offers when booking tickets from the UK. Avios can be redeemed for future flights, upgrades, or amenities. The flag carrier of the United Kingdom is providing double frequent flyer miles to passengers traveling to the United States this summer. The latest British Airways promotion runs until mid-August and can be combined with other deals to earn additional Avios on travel through June 2025.

Passengers headed for the US this summer are in luck, as the carrier confirmed that its British Airways Executive Club members will earn double Avios on flights. Members can also collect an additional 2 Avios for every £1 ($1.30) spent on packages that combine a flight with a hotel or car rental reservation. The Avios can then be used on Reward Flights to make Avios part-payments on future bookings or purchase upgrades.

Participants must register for the promotion to be eligible, and the flights must originate in the United Kingdom. Tickets can be booked as one-way, return, multi-trip, or holiday bookings, with each individual leg counting towards a maximum of ten flights.

- Book travel before August 16th, 2024.

- Complete all segments of the trip before June 25th, 2025.

The number of Avios awarded is calculated from the total spend (minus taxes and fees), including extras such as cabin upgrades, pre-paid seating, and additional bags.

The number of Avios varies based on the traveler’s frequent flyer status. Entry-level members will earn 12 Avios per £1 spent, while Gold members will earn 18.

Passengers looking to earn and redeem Avios on Airbus A380 flights are in luck this summer. British Airways flies its superjumbos to six destinations in the US daily: Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Washington DC's Dulles International Airport (IAD), Miami International Airport (MIA) (twice daily in October 2024), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The deal runs alongside other offers from British Airways this summer, including a promotion for its frequent flyers based in the US to earn one million Avios. Eligible Executive Club members can enter daily, and cardholders of the British Airways Visa Signature Card receive a second chance at winning with every eligible entry.
