Delta Air Lines tops the list with 24,516 flights at DFW in 2024, surpassing other carriers. Spirit and Frontier Airlines are the top low-cost carriers at DFW, with around 22,000 flights scheduled each. United Airlines has 21,017 flights from DFW in 2024, focusing on routes to Houston, Newark, and Chicago. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is the primary US airport serving as American Airlines' main operating base. According to aviation analytics company Cirium, the Dallas-based airline has a staggering 605,818 flights scheduled for 2024.

Unsurprisingly, no other carriers have a presence at DFW comparable to that of American Airlines, as it is not their primary operating base. However, several airlines still maintain a considerable presence there.

According to data from Cirium, the top five carriers with the biggest presence at DFW Airport (excluding American Airlines) have a combined total of 95,465 scheduled flights in 2024. Interestingly, two of the five dominant carriers at DFW are low-cost airlines, while the other three are legacy carriers. This article will take a closer look at these five carriers and examine their flight numbers at Dallas Fort Worth Airport in 2024.

Alaska Airlines

Number of flights from DFW in 2024: 4,948

The fifth place on the list belongs to Alaska Airlines. Although the airline is based at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), it has a significant presence at Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW), with 4,948 scheduled flights in 2024.

Other statistics:

Seats: 860,501

Available Seat Miles (ASMs): 1,419,213,176

Since SEA is the carrier's major operating base, it comes as no surprise that one of the most popular routes within Alaska's network from DFW airport is to SEA airport. The airline currently has six daily operations from Dallas to Seattle using its fleet of Boeing 737-900ERs or Boeing 737-800 jets.

In addition to the DFW to SEA route, Alaska Airlines frequently operates flights from DFW to Portland (PDX). The carrier has two daily flights to Portland using its fleet of Boeing 737-900ERs or Boeing 737-800s.
