Air France has announced the expansion of its Air France Smart Connect platform to include Swiss railways CFF/SBB, enabling customers to book combined tickets for flights and train journeys. This service extension offers connectivity between Air France-operated flights and train services to six Swiss cities.

Initially launched in 2021, Air France Smart Connect was developed by Dohop and allowed customers to book both Air France and Transavia flights in a single transaction. The platform also includes a guarantee from Dohop that provides assistance and alternative travel solutions in case of irregularities.

The new integration allows travelers to combine an Air France flight with a CFF/SBB train ticket directly through the Air France website. Customers need only enter their departure point, destination, and travel dates before being redirected to the Smart Connect platform where they can select their preferred flight and train options. Both tickets are provided for a single payment.

Routes currently available for booking on the airfrance.fr website include:

- Paris-Charles de Gaulle <> Geneva-Cointrin with connections to Bern, Lausanne, Fribourg, Biel/Bienne.

- Paris-Charles de Gaulle <> Zurich-Kloten with connections to Bern, Thun, St. Gall.

Air France plans to expand this offer by adding more stations within Switzerland and extending it to passengers connecting from other flights at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.

This initiative builds upon the existing train + air service offered in partnership with SNCF in France and Belgium over the past two decades. Currently, 41 routes are available connecting Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports with various destinations.
