News and notes from around the internet:
A live Google document found on airliners.net provides insights into the Charleston, SC factory production line for Boeing's 787-9 aircraft. According to the document, two of the new 787-9s are assembled and awaiting final preparation, while a third is undergoing final assembly. Eight more units are expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The three assembled aircraft (lines 1191, 1198, and 1201) are reportedly on schedule for delivery this year as previously reported by American Airlines. The spreadsheet appears to be regularly updated, with several first flight dates listed as July 24, 2024.
In other news, Barclays and Hawaiian Airlines have renewed their credit card partnership. Should Alaska Airlines' acquisition of Hawaiian go through, HawaiianMiles will become significantly more valuable as Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles.
