Hyatt and American Airlines have announced their 2024 offer for American AAdvantage elite members, continuing a longstanding partnership that allows members to earn points in both programs through stays at Hyatt properties and flights with American Airlines. These points contribute not only to redeemable miles but also to loyalty points, aiding in status attainment.

Each year since 2020, the two companies have provided trial elite status opportunities with options to maintain or upgrade status. For 2024, American AAdvantage members with Gold status or higher can register for Hyatt Explorist status for a period of 90 days.

Members can choose when this trial period begins, up until October 31. This flexibility allows participants to align the trial period with their travel plans. Once registered, they must complete specific challenges to retain the status through February 2026. The required stays are as follows:

- AAdvantage Gold and Platinum members need to stay 10 qualifying nights during the trial.

- Platinum Pro and Executive Platinum members must stay either 10 qualifying nights to keep Explorist status or 20 nights to earn Globalist status.

- ConciergeKey members already receive complimentary Globalist status.

The benefits of achieving Globalist status include potential upgrades at check-in up to standard suites if available, club lounge access or restaurant breakfast, and a guaranteed late checkout time of 4 p.m., excluding resort and casino properties.

For all Hyatt promotions, the check-out date is crucial; qualifying nights within the promotion period do not count if the check-out occurs after the promotion ends. Status updates will be applied within seven business days following checkout upon completion of the challenge requirements.

This annual offer does not restrict future participation in subsequent years’ trials; it is limited to once per year but is expected to continue annually.
