Qatar Airways is renowned for its exceptional business class offerings, including the innovative QSuites, high-quality food and amenities, and commendable service. The airline was a pioneer in introducing doors on business class suites, allowing configurations such as double beds or family rooms by adjusting seat walls.

The airline's soft product has also garnered praise. For example, passengers flying on their Airbus A380 can enjoy Krug champagne at the business class bar. Recently, Qatar Airways hinted at further enhancements to their onboard dining experience via an Instagram post, suggesting that caviar and salmon might soon be featured in business class.

"Stay tuned for something that will enhance your onboard dining experience. Can you guess what will make the Qsuite experience better?" read the teaser from Qatar Airways.

One Mile at a Time speculated that "caviar and balik salmon service might be on the horizon," akin to what is currently offered in Qatar Airways' long-haul first-class cabins on the Airbus A380 and select Boeing 777s.

The introduction of caviar alongside salmon suggests a significant upgrade to the current offerings. However, details regarding the quality of these products remain unclear. While premium caviar can cost several hundred dollars per pound, more affordable options are available. Similarly, Balik salmon Tsar Nikolaj is known for its high price but less expensive variants exist.

Historically, Lufthansa was reported to be the largest buyer of caviar due to its first-class service. Should Qatar Airways extend caviar service across all long-haul business class flights, it could potentially become the largest purchaser of this luxury item globally. It remains uncertain whether this enhancement will be a permanent feature or a temporary promotion.
