Lufthansa flight LH726 with Allegris onboard departed on August 14 at 10:15 pm from Munich to Shanghai, marking the first Allegris destination in Asia. Following Vancouver, Toronto, and Chicago, Shanghai becomes the fourth worldwide destination for Lufthansa's new travel experience.

Under "Lufthansa Allegris," a revamped long-haul travel experience is being offered across Economy, Premium Economy, Business, and First Class. The Munich-Shanghai route now features these products on an A350-900 aircraft with 38 seats in Business Class (including 8 suites), 24 seats in Premium Economy Class, and 201 seats in Economy Class (including 22 seats with extra legroom).

"We are thrilled to introduce the Allegris products to Shanghai and convinced that they will meet the needs of various Chinese passengers. Every guest has their own understanding of premium. This is why with the Allegris range we focus on maximum individuality and exclusivity and premium service along the entire travel chain," stated Jens Ritter, CEO Lufthansa Airlines. "Shanghai is currently the first Allegris destination in Asia. We aim to further enhance the customer experience onboard and strengthen our leading position on China-Europe route."

Three and a half months after its introduction on North American routes, customer feedback on Allegris has been overwhelmingly positive. Travelers across all classes have expressed high satisfaction with the new cabin product. In Business Class, up to 97 percent rate their flights as better than before.

In its summer schedule for 2024, Lufthansa offers daily direct connections from Munich to both Shanghai and Beijing. Overall, the German flagship carrier provides 40 weekly flights from Germany to Greater China Region.
