Catania Airport has resumed operations following a temporary closure caused by the eruptive activity of Mount Etna, ITA Airways announced. The airline had operated seven additional flights to Comiso airport to accommodate affected passengers during the disruption.

ITA Airways will ensure eight flights to Catania from the reopening of the airport until the end of the day. Passengers are advised to check flight status in the Flight Info section and via the app before heading to the airport.

The company also noted that, currently, services related to its Volare program, including registration and personal areas, are available only in Italian and English. Efforts are underway to make these services accessible in other languages as soon as possible.
