ITA Airways has announced that the baggage handling system at Rome Fiumicino Airport has resumed normal operations following a malfunction experienced yesterday. The company collaborated with the airport operator and suppliers to minimize disruptions for customers and maintain operational regularity, which has also been affected by air traffic control restrictions across Italy.

The airline reported that 90% of mishandled baggage has been redirected, with plans to complete the shipment of the remaining 10% by the end of today. ITA Airways is actively working to keep passengers informed both at the airport and onboard its flights.

In a statement, ITA Airways expressed regret for any inconvenience caused, noting that the issues were beyond its control. The company remains committed to returning operations to normal by day's end.
