Police have reported that a layover at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) turned deadly on the night of May 29, 2024. Medeiros, who was stopping at DFW before heading back to Washington state after a work trip, allegedly committed murder during his brief stay. According to the DFW Airport Department of Public Safety, Medeiros engaged in a shooting spree that resulted in the death of Douglas. Family members informed WFAA that Medeiros had no ties to North Texas and was only there for his layover.
In another incident involving air travel, former Jersey Shore star Jenni Farley claimed United Airlines removed her and her disabled son from a flight after an error led to their reservation being canceled. Farley expressed her frustration on social media, stating: "Thank you @united for kicking Greyson and I off our second flight. Apparently they double booked my seats on the new flight because someone cancelled my reservation switching flights and we were escorted off."
In business news, Hyatt is reportedly nearing the sale of Hyatt Regency Orlando for $1.02 billion. The hotel was acquired by Hyatt in 2013 for $717 million and underwent renovations costing $117 million in 2016.
