Charlotte Airport's B concourse experienced flooding this morning, primarily affecting Gates B1 through B4. The airport attributed the incident to "a construction project incident," although passengers reported toilet water as the cause.
Joe Bruno, a reporter for WSOC-TV, shared an image of the flooded terminal on social media, noting the significant amount of water in Terminal B. Queen City News also reported that travelers continued to be impacted midday Thursday due to the flooding near Gate B.
While the rest of the B concourse remained unaffected, American Airlines passengers had to navigate through the flooded area to reach their flights. The affected area was dried shortly after noon.
