Areas of Texas continue to experience power disruptions following Hurricane Beryl, which made landfall more than a week ago. The Category 5 storm diminished to Category 1 by the time it reached the state’s Gulf Coast on July 8, causing significant damage.

At Houston Hobby Airport (KHOU), Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) reported varying degrees of damage, with power being restored this week. Million Air, which operated on generators until Monday—eight days after the storm—suffered roof damage to its maintenance hangar. Jet Aviation also switched off its generators on Monday and reported minor damage, including the collapse of a wall in an unused hangar slated for repair.

Galaxy FBO had electricity restored on Saturday and accommodated some customers who chose to sleep in the generator-powered terminal's pilot lounge instead of their powerless hotels. The facility experienced damaged fencing and minor water leaks. Wilson Air reported no physical damage but relied on backup generators until power returned on Saturday.

Atlantic Aviation’s KHOU location operated on generator power for only one day before electricity was restored. Signature Aviation's FBO regained power on July 10, just two days after the storm.
