Hyatt adds select Aman Resorts to Mr & Mrs Smith collection but bookings remain unavailable

Hyatt has recently acquired Mr and Mrs Smith, a booking platform known for its curated selection of independent hotels. This acquisition allows customers to earn Hyatt points and stay credits when booking properties that are part of the World of Hyatt program through Hyatt channels. Additionally, points can be redeemed at these hotels, although the redemption value is often considered low compared to prevailing rates.

The partnership was anticipated to expand Hyatt's luxury offerings significantly. Notable inclusions in the Mr and Mrs Smith collection have been Virgin Limited Edition properties like Moskito Island and Aman Resorts. However, Aman Resorts had previously stated in April that they would not participate in the point redemption scheme with Hyatt and Mr & Mrs Smith.

Despite this earlier statement, several Aman properties now have dedicated pages on the Hyatt website under the Mr and Mrs Smith banner. These properties include:

Currently, these properties do not show available booking inventory for either paid or redemption stays through Hyatt's platform. Nevertheless, their inclusion on the website raises questions about future opportunities for redeeming hotel loyalty points at some of the world's most luxurious resorts.

If point redemptions become available for these Aman properties, potential guests should expect high pricing levels. For instance, a night at Amangiri could cost upwards of 400,000 points.
