Air France is expanding its Asian network.
Beginning December 7, 2024, Air France will link Manila (Philippines) to its global hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. The airline will operate three direct flights a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Air France’s Paris-Manila flight will operate on Airbus A350-900, offering 34 seats in the Business cabin, 24 seats in Premium Economy, and 266 in Economy.

AF208: Leaving Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 11:20 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, arriving in Manila at 7:30 pm the next day.
AF209: Leaving Manila at 9:50 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 5:50 am the next day.
This flight schedule remains subject to government approval.
Manila is also a KLM destination with four flights a week from Amsterdam Schiphol airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. By coordinating their respective flight schedules, Air France and KLM ensure a combined daily service to Manila.

In addition to Manila this winter season Air France will serve other Asian destinations including Tokyo Haneda (up to fifteen flights a week), Osaka (up to three flights a week), Beijing (up to seven flights a week), Shanghai (up to seven flights a week), Hong Kong (up to seven flights a week), Seoul (up to seven flights a week), Bangkok (up to thirteen flights a week), Singapore (up to ten flights a week), and Ho Chi Minh City (three flights a week).
The introduction of Manila marks Air France’s fifth new route for the winter 2024-2025 season. During this period the airline will inaugurate new routes to Salvador de Bahia in Brazil with three weekly flights starting October 28; Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with three weekly flights from November 18 as an extension from Zanzibar; Malé in Maldives with up to two weekly flights from December 20; and Kiruna in Sweden with one weekly flight from December 21.

Lufthansa Group has announced the appointment of Felipe Bonifatti as Vice President Asia Pacific & Joint Ventures East. Based in Singapore, Bonifatti will oversee all commercial activities, including Joint Venture sales, in the Asia Pacific region starting November 1, 2024.

Air France is set to enhance its onboard Wi-Fi service, marking a significant move towards providing an upgraded travel experience. This new service will be free of charge across all travel cabins and accessible by logging into a Flying Blue account. A group of Michigan security guards employed by Triple Canopy, Inc. has voted to remove the power of United Government Security Officers of America (UGSOA) union officials to mandate union dues as a condition of employment. The vote, known as a "deauthorization" election, took place by mail in April and May, but the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) only recently released the full vote count.
Employees at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront Hotel have initiated a process to remove UNITE-HERE Local 2 union officials from their workplace. Erika Chavez, a hotel employee, has submitted a petition for this purpose to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Region 20 in San Francisco. Chavez received free legal aid from the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation.
