Starting November 8, American Express cardholders will need to pay with an Amex card to utilize their Uber credits. This change affects those who previously used the funds from Platinum or Gold cards while paying the remaining charges with higher-earning cards such as the Sapphire Reserve.
The update was highlighted in a post by u/jmcapitulo on Reddit, which noted that "you’ll need to pay with an Amex in order to use Amex Uber credits."
In other news, Austin airport's new headhouse project is nearing approval. Scheduled for completion in December 2029, the project includes demolishing the closest parking garage to the terminal and re-routing the entry road. The arrivals and departures hall project has a budget of $865 million.
