Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), and Delta Air Lines have announced significant progress in their commitment to local, minority-owned business participation at LAX Terminal 3. This initiative includes 22 minority business owners collaborating to enhance the guest experience for Delta's customers and other travelers.

The program aims to achieve Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) participation rates of 43 percent for food and beverage and 36 percent for retail, surpassing the project goals of 25 percent and 20 percent, respectively.

"We're excited to offer LAX guests a range of unique, locally-inspired experiences while supporting the growth of remarkable businesses," said Karim Webb, President of the Board of Airport Commissioners. "This celebration is a testament to the power of diversity, inclusion, and community engagement."

The new concessions include local favorites, celebrity-owned restaurants, travel essentials, unique gifts, and airport firsts. Jackmont Hospitality and SoCal Concessions have introduced rapper Ludacris' Chicken + Beer restaurant at its first LAX location. They also partnered with Arrington to open Native by Nyesha at LAX, which recently won the 2024 Airport Experience Award for Best Local Inspired Restaurant.

"As the international gateway to Southern California, LAX should reflect the vibrant diversity of Los Angeles," said John Ackerman, Chief Executive Officer at LAWA. "We are thrilled to celebrate inclusivity in Terminal 3 at LAX."

Terminal 3 also features Gameway, a woman-owned video gaming entertainment lounge offering personal gaming stations and a retro-gaming bar.

"Together, we're creating an industry-leading guest experience and lowering barriers for small businesses," said Dominic Lowe, U.S. Chief Operating Officer at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. "Our partnership with LAWA is creating economic opportunities for our communities."

Scott Santoro, Vice President Los Angeles and Sales West at Delta Air Lines added: "With Terminal 3's new concessions program completed, customers can experience Los Angeles' diverse culinary scene while enjoying a premium travel journey."

These new concessions are part of LAWA and Delta's $2.3 billion modernization project aimed at consolidating Terminals 2 and 3 into a single complex featuring airside connections to Tom Bradley International Terminal.
