Two years after forming a Joint Venture, Delta Air Lines and the LATAM group report significant growth in their operations. Since 2022, the partnership has resulted in a 68% increase in flights. This expansion includes six new routes and over 32,000 flights, providing more than 8 million seats between North America and South America.

The Joint Venture has also facilitated the transport of over 5 million passengers across a distance exceeding 110 million miles. Soledad Berrios, Director of Strategic Alliances at LATAM group, noted that "the aforementioned capacity growth" allows for extensive connectivity with more than 200 destinations by Delta in North America and over 120 by LATAM in South America.

During the second year of the agreement, Ecuador was incorporated into the coverage area for travel to North America. The inclusion of exclusively cargo flights was another key development.

Delta's Vice President for Latin America, Alex Antilla, expressed pride in the achievements: "Celebrating two years of our Delta-LATAM Joint Venture," he stated, emphasizing customer trust and their aim to be "the preferred airline partnership for passengers flying between North and South America."

Currently operating six new routes since receiving final approval in 2022—such as Atlanta-Cartagena and seasonal New York JFK-Rio de Janeiro—the venture also enhances passenger experience through streamlined check-in processes and shared terminals.

Passengers benefit from joint frequent flyer programs with access to numerous lounges across both continents. In early 2025, LATAM will open its first VIP lounge at Lima Airport.

Delta and LATAM plan to announce further expansions and benefits soon to improve travel experiences between these regions.
