Delta Air Lines has introduced the Airbus A330-900neo on its daily nonstop route from New York-JFK to Accra, starting October 1, 2024. This aircraft brings a 30% increase in seat capacity between Ghana and the United States, along with enhanced passenger comfort.

During the launch event in Accra, Ralph Albus, Delta’s Director of Global Communications, Commercial stated: “Customers will enjoy Delta’s state-of-the-art Airbus A330-900neo, offering the latest in premium travel. The accelerated deployment of this new aircraft reflects the strong demand for our product, and we’re excited to offer passengers a premium onboard experience across the Atlantic with Delta’s renowned service.”

The Airbus A330-900neo provides approximately 1,000 additional seats each week between Ghana and the U.S., featuring four cabin options: Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin. It also offers increased cargo capacity to meet growing demand.

Delta One Suites include fully lie-flat seats with luxury bedding and privacy doors. Passengers can enjoy chef-curated meals and premium beverages. Delta Premium Select provides wider seats with more legroom. Meanwhile, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin offer spacious seating with memory-foam cushions and personalized entertainment options exceeding 1,000 hours.

All cabins feature modern amenities such as ambient lighting designed for a restful flight experience.

Mr. Albus expressed appreciation for Delta's partnerships in Ghana and thanked customers as well as local authorities including the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and the government of Ghana.

This introduction strengthens ties between Ghana and the U.S., providing increased capacity alongside world-class service.
