Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has announced the launch of its new FedEx Import Tool, aimed at improving efficiency in international trade for businesses in the Asia Pacific region. The tool is designed to simplify the import process and enhance visibility throughout the shipping experience.

Currently available in Australia, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea, this automated solution reduces manual tasks associated with customs documentation and regulatory compliance. With the Asia Pacific region expected to lead in import growth in 2024, FedEx plans to extend this tool's availability to other markets including Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, and New Zealand.

The FedEx Import Tool features a unified self-service platform that centralizes document management and shipment tracking. It offers a dashboard for detailed visibility into every stage of shipments and proactive notifications to expedite clearance processes. Users can also monitor shipments up to 90 days post-pickup.

Leveraging intuitive digital solutions that provide importers with real-time data at their fingertips represents a significant leap in supply chain efficiency."

FedEx continues its mission to make supply chains smarter by developing digital solutions such as FedEx Ship Manager™ for small businesses and e-commerce merchants. These tools allow users to manage shipments online or via mobile devices. Additionally, machine learning technology is employed by FedEx to offer customers a four-hour window for incoming deliveries.
