Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has introduced the FedEx Import Tool, a new solution aimed at simplifying international trade for businesses in Korea. The tool is designed to automate and streamline the import process, providing users with enhanced visibility and efficiency.

Currently available in Korea, Australia, Japan, and Taiwan, the FedEx Import Tool aims to reduce manual efforts related to customs documentation and regulatory compliance. With Asia Pacific expected to be the fastest-growing region for imports in 2024, FedEx plans to expand the tool's availability to other markets including Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, and New Zealand.

The tool offers several features such as a unified self-service platform for document management and shipment tracking, a dashboard for monitoring shipments at every stage of the import process, proactive notifications to speed up clearance processes, and round-the-clock shipment tracking capabilities for up to 90 days post-pickup.

The FedEx Import Tool addresses this need by automating and digitalizing the import process.”

Kawal Preet, president of Asia Pacific at FedEx added: “As the pace of business increases, FedEx Import Tool is a timely introduction that underscores the value we bring to our customers."

FedEx continues its mission to enhance supply chain efficiency through digital solutions. Other tools offered by FedEx include FedEx Ship Manager™ (FSM) for online shipment management and FedEx Ship Manager Lite for mobile device arrangements. The company is also leveraging advanced technologies like machine learning to improve delivery predictions.
