Delta Air Lines is set to resume its nonstop service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) in June 2025. The route will be operated using the Airbus A350, which features modern onboard amenities.

Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta, stated, "As the leading global airline at LAX, Delta remains committed to providing our Los Angeles customers with seamless access to destinations worldwide." He further noted that their investment in the new Delta One Lounge and airport improvements underscores their commitment to enhancing customer experience from arrival at the airport to reaching their final destination.

The reintroduction of this service will increase Delta's operations between the U.S. and China to 17 weekly flights, adding to existing routes from Detroit and Seattle.

Delta continues to expand its operations at LAX with over 150 peak-day departures to nearly 60 destinations. This includes new services resuming on December 4th. Travelers departing from LAX can expect a modern travel experience with facilities such as a centralized check-in lobby and an award-winning Delta Sky Club.

The LAX-PVG route will operate three times a week, offering premium travel options including Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin experiences. Passengers in Delta One can enjoy lie-flat seating, premium bedding, expanded beverage choices, and a seasonal chef-curated four-course meal. Across all cabins, passengers have access to over 1,000 hours of entertainment through Delta Studio.
