Alaska Airlines is set to enhance its Mileage Plan in 2025, introducing new benefits and options for members. The airline aims to make it easier for members to achieve elite status by offering more ways to earn elite-qualifying miles (EQMs). Starting in January, members can earn EQMs through award travel redemptions, credit card purchases, and other activities.
Brett Catlin, Vice President of Loyalty, Alliances and Sales at Alaska Airlines, stated: “We’re on a multi-year journey to make the industry’s most generous loyalty program even more rewarding. In 2025, Mileage Plan members will have access to all-new, more frequent perks along with expanded ways to earn elite status, including on award travel."
As part of the changes, Alaska Airlines will introduce a single loyalty program with Hawaiian Airlines following their combination. Members can currently transfer miles between Alaska and Hawaiian accounts at no charge and purchase flights from both airlines on either website.
