Federal Express Corporation has announced the introduction of its FedEx Surround® monitoring and intervention solution in Puerto Rico. This new service aims to enhance global supply chain visibility by integrating with the company's existing transportation network. The solution is designed to provide customers, particularly in industries like healthcare and high-tech, with improved shipment visibility, critical updates, and proactive monitoring.

Basil Khalil, Vice President of Operations at FedEx Caribbean and Central America, stated, "The launch of FedEx Surround® in Puerto Rico brings a new level of service to our customers, solidifying our commitment to excellence in pharmaceutical logistics." He added that the technology allows for real-time data on shipment locations and can predict potential disruptions. This capability enables both FedEx and its customers to make swift decisions to ensure timely delivery of sensitive shipments.

FedEx Surround® offers three service levels: Select, Preferred, and Premium. These services provide benefits such as near real-time global visibility through AI and SenseAware ID, special handling codes for enhanced operational capabilities including cold chain support, prioritized boarding and handling, as well as 24/7 expert support for proactive monitoring.
