Universal Orlando has announced the opening date for its newest theme park, Universal Epic Universe. The park is set to open on May 22, 2025, coinciding with the unofficial start of summer travel around Memorial Day.
Epic Universe will feature five themed "worlds," four of which are inspired by popular films and games such as Harry Potter, Universal Classic Monsters, "How to Train Your Dragon," and Nintendo characters like Mario and Donkey Kong. The fifth area, Celestial Park, serves as the entrance with portals leading to the other lands.
The park promises innovative rides and interactive experiences. Visitors can expect attractions like real flying dragons in How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, a Mario Kart race in Super Nintendo World, a journey via Metro-Floo to the British Ministry of Magic in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, and a roller coaster featuring realistic animatronics in Dark Universe.
