The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has unveiled the EWR Vision Plan, a comprehensive strategy for redeveloping Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). This plan aims to elevate the 96-year-old airport's status in national rankings by implementing three major projects: constructing a new Terminal B, enhancing airside taxiways, and redesigning roadways.
Port Authority Chairman Kevin O'Toole emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, "A modern, efficient, world-class Newark Liberty Airport is more than just a dream. We now have an actionable path forward thanks to this comprehensive vision plan."
The redevelopment includes replacing Terminal B with a new international terminal and upgrading Terminal C. The spacious terminals are designed to accommodate increased passenger volume and allow for future expansion. However, specific details about these upgrades remain undisclosed.
