United Airlines has introduced a new Mile Play promotion, offering bonus miles to selected members who complete specific tasks. Interested members are encouraged to check their eligibility and register on United's Mile Play page by entering their MileagePlus number.

The offers vary among members, with some not being targeted at all. "As is normal with these promotions, offers vary widely from one member to another," states the airline. For example, Summer Hull received an offer for 5,000 bonus miles after taking three trips costing $300 or more by December 13.

Other examples include Erica Silverstein, who must book and take three trips of $175 or more each to earn 5,000 bonus miles. Lyndsey Matthews can earn 7,000 bonus miles by booking and taking three trips with fares over $100 each. Chris Nelson has an offer for 6,800 bonus miles if he books two trips of at least $250 each.

Additional offers were extended to other staffers: earning 3,100 bonus miles for two trips costing $175 or more each and earning 7,500 bonus miles for five trips priced at $100 or more each.

To qualify for these promotions, the bookings and flights must occur after registration and before December 13. Only paid flights marketed and operated by United will count towards these offers unless stated otherwise in the terms.

For those interested in maximizing their rewards potential beyond this promotion, opening a cobranded credit card might be beneficial. Current offerings include up to 80,000 bonus miles on select cards such as the United Club℠ Infinite Card.

In conclusion, even without immediate travel plans with United Airlines, registering for Mile Play could be worthwhile if your offer aligns with your travel needs. Fully refundable bookings may also allow flexibility in considering whether to rebook through United based on the attractiveness of your Mile Play offer.
