Severious Kale-Dery, a senior staff writer at Graphic Communications Group, was among five Ghanaian journalists invited by Delta to visit the airline's headquarters in Atlanta. The trip included a flight experience in the Delta One cabin and exclusive VIP Select service, all expenses covered by Delta.

Kale-Dery embarked on his journey from Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana, with two Delta staff members assisting him as a Delta One passenger. After routine check-in and security procedures, he enjoyed refreshments at the Sanbra Priority Lounge before boarding.

Delta One offered an enhanced business-class experience with guest-selected meals and attentive service. Kale-Dery appreciated the entertainment options and productivity features during the flight to New York-JFK. He described the comfort of lie-flat seats and praised the cabin crew's courtesy.

Upon arriving in New York after a ten-hour flight, Kale-Dery boarded a connecting flight to Atlanta. He arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport before visiting Delta Headquarters.

The visit included a tour of the Delta Flight Museum and meetings with officials from corporate communications and network planning. A briefing at the Operations Control Center highlighted Delta's use of proprietary software for decision-making during adverse conditions.

The itinerary also covered interactions with teams from specialty sales, reservations, customer care, and brand experience. The day concluded with a meal at South City Kitchen in Midtown Atlanta.

The following day began at Delta Technical Operations (Delta TechOps), where Kale-Dery observed maintenance services provided for both Delta's fleet and over 150 other customers worldwide. His favorite activities included flying in a simulator and experiencing an emergency landing slide at the Pilot Training Center.

Overall, Kale-Dery found his time with Delta engaging and informative.
