Recognizing the significance of health and wellbeing, the Emirates Group has actively supported the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) since its inception. Since 2017, over 51,000 employees have participated in this annual fitness event, contributing to a culture of health within the organization.

The upcoming DFC will begin in four days, and Emirates Group is encouraging its workforce to engage in 30 minutes of exercise daily for 30 days. Participants who complete this challenge will receive a free flight ticket to any destination on the Emirates network.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum stated: “The Emirates Group has been a long-standing supporter of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Over the years, Emirates has activated well-known global teams and leagues we sponsor to raise global visibility for the event, organized friendly challenges to demonstrate employee camaraderie and team spirit, and have organized a diverse schedule of fitness events, trainings and classes fully run by our teams.”

He further emphasized: “As a company that cares, we prioritize the health and wellbeing of our workforce as a valuable investment. Throughout the year, we run a gamut of employee wellness programmes... This fosters a culture of health, helps our brand to stand out and supports our recruitment and retention efforts.”

The 'Sehaty' programme runs various campaigns throughout the year focusing on physical and mental health awareness. It includes preventative screenings and webinars facilitated by trained medical professionals from Emirates Group Medical Services.

Additionally, more than 30 sports clubs are managed by employees throughout the year. The company offers support such as paid leave for those representing UAE national teams or participating in major sporting events.

During DFC, free classes are available across group facilities with special discounts at local gyms. Employees receive regular tips on health-related topics.

Emirates Group's involvement extends beyond internal activities; their rich sports sponsorship portfolio provides unique experiences for employees. Notable moments include interactions with NBA legend Isiah Thomas and cricket matches umpired by Shikhar Dhawan during major events sponsored by Emirates.
